STATIC ELECTRICITY

Static electricity refers to the build up of electric charge on the surface of objects. The static charges remain on an object until they either bleed off to ground or are quickly neutralized by a discharge.

Although charge exchange can happen whenever any two surfaces come into contact and separate, a static charge will only remain when at least one of the surfaces has a high resistance to electrical flow (an electrical insulator).

The effects of static electricity are familiar to most people because we can see, feel and even hear the spark as the excess charge is neutralized when brought close to a large electrical conductor (for example a path to ground),

IF YOU ARE USING A POWER SUPPLY PLEASE ALSO READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS.

These products are not toys and Children need to be supervised by an adult at all times.

THE CORRECT POWER SUPPLY MUST BE USED AT ALL TIMES.

There are many different power supplies available within the Model Industry.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you use the correct supply and ensure that the correct polarity is used.

Please read all the manufacturers instructions before attempting to connect any power supply to an electrical device.

If you do not have the necessary knowledge, skills or experience you should employ a Local Qualified Electronics engineer.

Using an INCORRECT power supply and or INCORRECT POLARITY will damage the product.

It may or may not work initially but may burn out due to incorrect voltage or amperage or polarity being used.

There are supplies that are DC or AC. The correct one must be used.

Some products call for the use of Diodes and or Resistors and or Regulators or Decoders and or Controllers. Please use the correct ones.
