RETURNS POLICY

 

WELCOME TO CRAVENMODELS – MODELTRAINSUK - DAISEYBELLS

 

WE TAKE EXTREME CARE WHEN PACKAGING ALL ITEMS THAT WE SELL.  THE MAJORITY OF THE ITEMS THAT WE SELL ARE NOW DISPATCHED IN NEW OR GOOD RECYCLED BOXES.

 

ALL ITEMS THAT WE OFFER FOR SALE ARE NEW - UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED. 

WE ONLY SELL GENUINE PRODUCTS AND EVERY EFFORT IS TAKEN TO ENSURE THAT THEY ARE IN EXCELLENT ORDER BEFORE DISPATCH.

WE WILL REPLACE PARTS OR ITEMS IF WE CONSIDER THEM TO BE FAULTY.

 

IF YOU WISH TO COVER YOURSELF AGAINST DAMAGE IN TRANSIT, WE SUGGEST THAT YOU DO SO – WE OFFER INSURANCE AS AN OPTIONAL EXTRA IN OUR INVOICE.

Goods damaged in transit

DELIVERY - PROOF OF DAMAGE MUST BE PROVIDED BY THE BUYER TO THE SELLER –

ROYAL MAIL AND OTHER CARRIERS NOW REQUIRE A PHOTOGRAPH OF ANY DAMAGE CAUSED TO GOODS AND OR THEIR PACKAGING.  

DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHS CAN BE emailed to us at cravenmodels@btconnect.com

 

Returns

RETURNS WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED BY THE SELLER FOLLOWING PRIOR AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE SELLER AND THE BUYER –

THIS IS TO AVOID ANY MISUNDERSTANDING AT A LATER DATE IN RESPECT OF ANY COSTS THAT MIGHT BE INVOLVED BY THE BUYER AND THE SELLER.

 

IF THE GOODS OR THE PRODUCT PACKAGING HAVE BEEN DAMAGED BY THE BUYER AND WE CANNOT RESELL THE GOODS AS NEW AND OR AS UNUSED,

WE WILL NOT GIVE A REFUND.

THE BUYER HAS A RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THAT THE GOODS and THEIR PACKAGING ARE MAINTAINED IN GOOD ORDER

UNTIL THEY ARE RETURNED TO US AND REACH OUR PREMISES.


If you feel that you need to return an item to us, it must be done within 7 days of receipt of that item –

BUT YOU MUST CONTACT US BEFORE RETURNING ANY ITEM so as to avoid any misunderstanding at a later date.   

The time limit is necessary if we need to make a claim against the carrier or Paypal.

 

Any item that is returned after receiving our agreement, must be in its original manufacturers packaging, be unused and be in an undamaged condition.

If this is not the case  the goods will not be accepted for refund.

 

If goods are returned in their original packaging, unopened and unused,  a charge will be made to cover the costs of P&P, 

plus any fees charged to us by ebay, paypal and or any finance company.  Any instructions must be returned with the goods.

 

Such charges will be deducted from the original purchase price of the goods.

Any goods RETURNED must be contained in a SECURE POSTAL BOX to avoid any damage  - Please DO NOT use JIFFY type bags.

 

 

MODEL RAILWAY ITEMS ARE CLASSED AS “COLLECTABLES”  by us and Ebay - PART OF THE VALUE OF COLLECTABLES,

IS IN THE CONDITION OF THE ORIGINAL PACKAGING. BOX TABS MUST NOT BE RIPPED OR BROKEN. 

DAMAGED PACKAGING WILL DEVALUE THE COLLECTABLE ITEM BY AS MUCH AS 50%. 

A CHARGE WILL BE MADE FOR DAMAGE CAUSED BY THE BUYER.

 

ELECTRONIC GOODS – DUE TO THE NATURE OF ANY ELECTRONIC PRODUCT OR ANY SEALED PRODUCT,

IT MUST STILL BE CONTAINED WITHIN ITS ORIGINAL SEALED PACKAGING AND ANY SEAL MUST BE INTACT AND OR UNOPENED.

 

COSMETIC ITEMS – DUE TO THE NATURE OF THESE PRODUCTS OR ANY SEALED PRODUCT,

IT MUST STILL BE CONTAINED WITHIN ITS ORIGINAL SEALED PACKAGING AND ANY SEAL MUST BE INTACT AND OR UNOPENED. 

BOX TABS MUST NOT BE RIPPED OR BROKEN.  COSMETIC ITEMS MUST NOT HAVE BEEN USED.

IF YOU DO NOT REQUIRE THE GOODS PLEASE DO NOT OPEN THEM. PLEASE CONTACT US IMMEDIATELY UPON DELIVERY.

Hygiene Regulations do not permit us to resell used cosmetic products.

 

RETURN POSTAGE MUST BE PAID BY THE BUYER AND INSURED AS NECESSARY. 

IF THE RETURNED GOODS ARE DAMAGED IN TRANSIT BACK TO US,

THE BUYER MUST MAKE A DAMAGE CLAIM AGAINST THEIR RETURNS DISPATCH COMPANY. (ROYAL MAIL OR OTHER)

RETURN OF GOODS DUE TO EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES

 

RETURNS WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED BY THE SELLER FOLLOWING PRIOR AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE SELLER AND THE BUYER ( Or representative).

THIS IS TO AVOID ANY MISUNDERSTANDING AT A LATER DATE IN RESPECT OF ANY COSTS THAT MIGHT BE INVOLVED BY THE BUYER AND THE SELLER.

 

Goods may be accepted back (by prior agreement) within one month of the sale date.

 

A minimum 20%  to 30% handling charge is applicable for unused items with unopened packaging and providing that they have been stored correctly..

Any returned goods will have to be inspected before any refund is agreed between the seller and the buyer (or buyer’s representative).

Electronic & DCC Products will be treated differently due to the nature of the products.

 

If the sale date exceeds one month then the handling charge will increase and a charge made for any packaging deterioration / fading etc.

We need to be able to inspect the goods before we can make a RETURNS OFFER. 

If the offer is not acceptable to the buyer or the buyer’s representative, then return carriage will be charged by the seller and must be paid by the buyer before the goods are back returned.
