Point Control

MODEL CDU - Capacitor Discharge Unit

For operating heavy duty point motors. The unit stores up power in capacitors and when a point motor is actuated, discharges in one big punch giving the point motor a firm and positive switching action.

Connected to points via switches or probe and studs. Prevents burnt out motors.

Input:

16v to 24v A.C. at a maximum of 2.5 amps Gaugemaster T1 for Hornby/ Peco/ Seep point motors or T3 for 24v applications.

MODEL PCU1 - Point Control Unit

Mains Powered Point Control Unit for use with most Gauges Complete point control unit containing transformer, CDU and switches for controlling up to 18 single or multiple point motors. Can be extended for another 7 switches (up to 21 point motors) with PCU2

The Gaugemaster PCU-1 is perhaps unique in providing, with a little planning a relatively simple method of route setting.

Input:

Mains (240v A.C.) use 3 amp fuse

Output:

6 x Triple output to point motors plus output for PCU2 These outputs give nominally 24v at 1 amp

Specification:

Each switch can sustain up to 6 point motors depending on condition of points/motor.

MODEL PCU2 - Point Control Slave Unit

Slave Point Control Unit for use with most Gauges

Input:

From PCU-1

Output:

As PCU-1 and can be extended to another PCU-2

Specification:

Point Control Unit for up to 21 point motors for use with PCU-1 Can also be used with T3 or M3 Transformer and a CDU
